Every family has a story...

Ours begins with the sea.Some people discover the sea later in life.For us, it has always been home.

I was born and raised in İzmir, one of Türkiye's most beautiful coastal cities, where childhood meant endless summers by the Aegean Sea. Long before sailing became my passion, the sea had already become part of who I was.

Over the years, that passion carried me across the Mediterranean and beyond. I've sailed the coastlines of Italy, Corsica, Cyprus, Türkiye, the Greek Islands and even the inland waters of the Czech Republic.

Every destination offered breathtaking landscapes, but more importantly, each journey reinforced a simple truth:

The best memories are always made on the water.

Before dedicating myself to sailing, I spent nearly four years working as a professional lifeguard in international five-star resorts across Türkiye and Cyprus. Holding an International Life Saving certified license taught me that confidence on the water comes from knowledge, preparation and respect for the sea—values that continue to guide every experience we offer aboard Ohana.

Then, life brought me to Sardinia. Where I met Alice.

A Shared Love for the Sea.

Alice was born and raised in Sardinia.She is a professional educator with a passion for creativity, handmade decoration and warm, welcoming spaces. Whether she's redesigning an interior or exploring another hidden beach, she naturally brings beauty and comfort into everything she creates.But above all, she's a true lover of the sea.

Although we grew up on opposite sides of the Mediterranean, we quickly realised that the sea had shaped both of our lives in remarkably similar ways.

In April 2026, our greatest adventure began.Our son, Matteo Can, joined our family.At just four months old, he started his very first swimming lessons—perhaps the earliest sign that he has inherited our love for the water.

We dream of one day teaching him to trim the sails, steer by the wind and discover the same sense of freedom that sailing has given us throughout our lives.

For now, he's simply our smallest crew member.And without question, the cutest.
